Jo Brooks - Head of Service

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a warm September welcome back, and my best wishes for a  successful and happy school year.

The Advisory Service has been growing and developing over the last year and we are now happy to announce the official beginning of the Primary Outreach Service. I know some of you will already have met Sue, who is in charge of this team, but this newsletter will also introduce the rest of the team who will be working closely with you in conjunction with the therapy teams at the PCT.

The members of the Secondary Outreach Team are ready to carry on the good work from the last few years and have been familiarising themselves with the new   students who will be starting secondary school in September. Hopefully from now on this will be a very smooth process as we will be already working with these pupils within the primary sector.

Ingrid Leroy, our occupational therapist, is unfortunately  leaving us to work within the community team so some of you may meet her in this capacity. She will be missed and we wish her luck and happiness in her new role. We will hopefully be replacing her very soon and of course will let you know as soon as we can.

With this newsletter we are also enclosing the new brochures about the service. They should answer any questions that you have, but please do not hesitate in contacting the team if you have any concerns or enquiries.

I hope that you all had a very enjoyable Summer holiday and that your batteries are suitably recharged for the year ahead. On behalf of the Advisory Service I would like to say how much we are looking forward to working with you and helping to make Wandsworth schools ASD friendly.
